Harold Thomas designed the Aboriginal flag in 1971. The flag was first flown on 12th July 1971 in Victoria Square, Adelaide for what is called National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC).

Welcome to the on-line home of Birubi Art, where we have wholesale access for our existing and potential customers to place orders on line. To apply for access to the wholesale area, existing customers and registered business's please follow these easy steps.

2. Fill in your details, choose your own personal password (at least six characters) and submit.

3.We will set your login details up on the website to allow you access and email a confirmation to you.

First orders are proforma. Prices displayed are in Australian dollars and do not include Goods and Services Tax (GST) applicable within Australia. Minimum order value of $250 excluding GST and freight charges apply within Australia. Minimum order value of $1,000 excluding freight charges apply for export orders. Payments can be made by internet funds transfer, cheque, money order, Visa or Mastercard.

Our company name "Birubi" is taken from a northern Australian Aboriginal language dialect, where it translates closely to "the Southern Cross", a constellation of stars visible throughout the ages from Australia, and culturally important to all Australians.

With our combined souvenir and art industry experience of over 50 years, Birubi Art is well placed to provide you with a superb range of product, from our "Creative Souvenir" range of Australiana items, through to magnificent canvases hand painted by our artists specifically to your request.

Birubi Art is also the proud licensed supplier of many items featuring the copyright Aboriginal Flag image designed by Mr Harold Thomas. So please, when purchasing Aboriginal flag items, ensure they are authentic licensed products, which will guarantee the flow of funds back into the Aboriginal community.
